If you encounter problems when printing from Terminal Services e.g. Compliance or Ablyss; there are a few steps you can try before contacting IT Support with the issue.

  1. Close any applications on the server. Do NOT use the  at the top-middle of the screen; this will disconnect you from the server but leave you logged in.
  2. Instead, click Start > Log Off. You will then be logged off of the server and be back at your Desktop/Internet Explorer.
  3. Go to Start > Devices and Printers.
  4. Identify your default printer by looking for the ticked printer.
  • Make sure your default printer is correct and log back in.
  • Try to print again.
  • If it still doesn't work, try checking the print queue.
    • Minimise the Terminal Server session using the  button from the blue drop-down panel at the top-middle of the screen.
    • Again, go to Start > Devices and Printers
    • Double click on your default printer
    • Right-click on each job in the queue and select Cancel
  • Restore your terminal server session by highlighting Internet Explorer and clicking on the Remote Desktop Web Connection window.
  • Try printing again. If the problem persists, please contact IT Support.
