Printing from Terminal Services
If you encounter problems when printing from Terminal Services e.g. Compliance or Ablyss; there are a few steps you can try before contacting IT Support with the issue.
- Close any applications on the server. Do NOT use the
at the top-middle of the screen; this will disconnect you from the server but leave you logged in.
- Instead, click Start > Log Off. You will then be logged off of the server and be back at your Desktop/Internet Explorer.
- Go to Start > Devices and Printers.
- Identify your default printer by looking for the ticked printer.
Make sure your default printer is correct and log back in.
Try to print again.
If it still doesn't work, try checking the print queue.
- Minimise the Terminal Server session using the
button from the blue drop-down panel at the top-middle of the screen.
- Again, go to Start > Devices and Printers
- Double click on your default printer
- Right-click on each job in the queue and select Cancel
Restore your terminal server session by highlighting Internet Explorer and clicking on the Remote Desktop Web Connection window.
Try printing again. If the problem persists, please contact IT Support.
